It is alarming enough to see kids harassing waterfowl at beaches during the summer, but when an adult does it — and it happens to be a Rowayton town official — it is downright shameful.
On Saturday at Bayley Beach, eyewitnesses looked on as the official kicked sand at a family of Canada geese who dared to walk across the beach to a grassy area in full view of impressionable children. When a beach-goer asked him to please stop, he shouted at her that geese were “trash,” and threw shade at her parenting skills by accusing her of not caring about the safety of her own children.
