Today BLM in Montana is committing another crime against the Pryor Mountain wild horses despite our efforts to stop the worst government agency from ripping 15 to 20 young wild horses from their families and the only home they know!

This is the latest example of BLM lies. The agency claims PZP will eliminate the need for roundups but they have been Pzping the Pryor Mountain wild horses for over a decade yet they are still treating them like pests and rounding them up.

Make no mistake about it. The BLM has  the same extinction plan for Pryor Mountain Herd as it did for the other 6 herds in Montana that it has already wiped out!

Judge Denies Attempt to Stall Roundup at Wild Horse Range

The wild-horse roundup in the Pryor Mountain range can go on as scheduled.

On Thursday U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters denied a request for a preliminary injunction against the Bureau of Land Management’s planned gather of 15-20 horses from the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range, which is set to begin next week.

Connecticut-based Friends of Animals sought the preliminary injunction, claiming in part that its members would be irreparably harmed by the loss of the animals in a celebrated herd of wild horses on about 38,000 acres in southern Montana and northern Wyoming.

In its response, the BLM said that the 170 horses now on the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range are beyond the limit of what the range resources can accommodate.

“BLM Montana/Dakotas is pleased with the ruling,” said Jim Sparks, the manager of the BLM’s Billings Field Office, in a news release. “We look forward to continuing to work with the public and partners to ensure that a healthy herd exists on healthy range lands in the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range.”
