Squirrel Slam Video

This squirrel hunt is an annual fundraiser for the Fire Department of Holley NY. It is the 7th Annual Squirrel Slam and occurred on February 16, 2013. However, in actuality, this is a mass squirrel-killing contest in which children & adults are awarded cash & gun prizes for killing the heaviest squirrels. Friends of Animals and its supporters were there to protest the event.

Two months before a perpetrator poured cleaning solvent on the Huntington Library's corn snake, who lived on display in a glass enclosure, the library heralded the year of the snake with a Chinese Cultural Arts Celebration. Honoring the year of the snake, Friends of Animals is glad the library isn't prompted to fill its aquarium with another snake who belongs in Nature.

Americans stuffing themselves with 120 million pounds of chocolate bunnies don't want to think about real rabbits. That would harsh their sugar high.
